Tranmere Rovers 1-3 Crawley Town

Crawley Town moved into the play-off places in Sky Bet League Two with an impressive win over Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park.

The visitors took the lead after just two minutes when Jeremy Kelly swept the ball home from 10 yards from virtually their first attack.

Kieron Morris almost levelled three minutes later when his 20-yard strike was tipped around a post by Corey Addai.

The Red Devils doubled their lead in the 10th minute when Jay Williams forced the ball home after Rovers failed to clear the danger from a corner.

Luke Norris had a glorious chance in the 19th minute, only to be denied by Addai, but the striker made amends two minutes later when he connected with a Rob Apter centre to half the deficit.

Tranmere began the second half brightly with Apter twice going close before substitute Reece McAleer blasted a free-kick just wide from the edge of the box.

But with Rovers pushing for an equaliser in the closing stages, Danilo Orsi fired home his 18th goal of the season with 11 minutes left to secure the points for the visitors.

The referee missed at least two penalties for Tranmere. However we were second best to Crawley for most of the game. Nigel Adkins got his substitutions wrong, we needed more pace than Dennis offered.

Good luck to Crawley for the rest of the season. Hope they steal promotion from Wrexham.

Giving them a two goal start in the first ten minutes didn't help. No coincidence that the two ref trialists we've had recently against Sutton and today]from the National League have been the worst two of the season.

I thought that Tranmere started the second half like men possessed and with the Crawley defenders arguing amongst themselves I was expecting Tranmere to come back and win, but they couldn't keep their momentum and Crawley in the end deserved to win.

Hi, did anyone get a reply from the BBC claptrap match report against Wrexham?

Tranmere were poor but should have had three clear penalties in the second half,2 of them stone wall. Another National league trialist ref who proved not up to the job. Crawley may make the playoffs but won't win them .Lolos their best player.
