Crawley Town 1-1 Barrow

Barrow ended a run of three successive defeats with a 1-1 draw at Crawley, a result which also keeps the Red Devils in the play-off places.

Emile Acquah headed Barrow in front shortly before the break, but Danilo Orsi's penalty midway through the second half gave Scott Lindsey's side a deserved point.

Crawley, with only two home wins since New Year's Day, had an early let-off when their former striker Dom Telford mis-kicked in front of goal and the ball ran to the recalled Luca Stephenson whose shot was blocked by goalkeeper Corey Addai.

Barrow keeper Paul Farman made a one-handed save to deny Ade Adeyemo just before the half-hour mark after a clever one-two with Klaidi Lolos.

The Bluebirds broke the deadlock nine minutes before the break when Acquah headed his eighth of the season from the centre of the goal following a cross by Elliot Newby.

Crawley threatened on the stroke of half-time when Will Wright fed Lolos and his shot on the turn was turned over the bar by the alert Farman.

The Red Devils levelled on 64 minutes when leading scorer Orsi sent Farman the wrong way from the penalty spot for his 20th of the season after Rory Feeley was penalised for handball.

Orsi later failed to convert a pass from Liam Kelly before Farman kept out a low drive from substitute Adam Campbell.

Barrow also posed a threat and substitute Sam Foley put a good chance over when well placed before a header from Lolos was off target at the other end as the match ended all square.

Barrow are in almost the same position Carlisle were this time last season. Carlisle weren't ready for promotion, but took their chance and it's not gone well. I hope Barrow learn from that if they succeed. If Barrow don't go up this time, they will be a year wiser and I think be vying for a promotion place with Carlisle next year. Good times for Cumbrian clubs await I hope.

Good point for Barrow, but it could/should have been 3 points. Two poor decisions by the officials - the penalty was given more than 20 seconds after the incident and was ball to hand, Feeley knew nothing about it. Then Newby’s late “winner” was ruled out for a foul, but the defender appeared to slip. One more win and we should make it. Avoid defeat at Donny and that would be great (tough though)

Crawley supporter here. I don't think the time lag was the issue as the lino gave the pen by radio as ref was unsighted, and the noise at that moment might have disrupted communication. However, your ball-to-hand remark does have some merit. I had a good view and felt we were a little lucky with that decision

Decent game both sides could have won the hand ball against the Barrow player was harsh he had his back to the ball, don`t know why Barrow had goal ruled out, Crawley missed some chances with both Goalies having good games, Doncaster just hoovering outside waiting to ponce into the play-offs.

If only we had VAR in league 2, no way was that a penalty, another appalling refereeing performance. Week in week out we see a standard of officiating that is getting worse, need to be sent back to the training centre if there is such a thing

If points were awarded for possession, Crawley would win this league. Yet another game where we dominate possession but don't create enough chances.

would sooner have seen a Barrow win than a draw but as I have said since Feb if we finished top 12 it would be a good result from where we was. We have this in our own hands. 3 to play 3 wins and we get into the playoffs. Barrow on Saturday wont be easy, Colchester on Tuesday and Gillingham for the last game are not walk overs either.

Been saying fir a while we don't score enuf goals and keep swapping the forwards which must affect confidence been a very good season but fear we may just miss out as cannot see us matching Doncaster or Mansfield for goals but happy with season just need more goals cmon boys
