Huddersfield Town are keen on Charlton Athletic striker Karlan Ahearne-Grant, according to journalist Alan Nixon on Twitter.
The 21-year-old, who was linked with Scottish Premiership side Rangers last week, has impressed in League One this season. Championship duo Brentford and Millwall are also believed to be keeping an eye on him.
Ahearne-Grant is out-of-contract at the end of the season which has fuelled rumours that he is going to depart the club in the near future. He has scored 13 goals in this campaign.
The youngster started his career at the Charlton academy and rose through the youth ranks at the Valley. He was handed his first professional contract in September 2014 when he was 17 years-old.
He made his first-team debut for the Addicks in a Championship fixture against Norwich City shortly after. He has since played 96 games for the London side to date, scoring 20 goals.
Ahearne-Grant has also had two loan spells so far in his career. The first was a brief stint at Cambridge United in the 2015/16, the latter was with Crawley Town last season in League Two where he bagged 9 goals in 15 appearances.
He has also represented England at U17, U18 and U19 level so far in his career. Charlton boss Lee Bowyer will be desperate to hold onto him but his side are in a difficult position with his contract running out.
Huddersfield are currently rock bottom of the Premier League and could see Ahearne-Grant as a good long-term signing for them as they cast one eye on the likely possibility of them being in the Championship next season.
