Rochdale have sacked manager Keith Hill, as confirmed by their official club website. Here are five potential candidates to replace him-
Paul Hurst- The former Grimsby Town and Shrewsbury Town boss was sacked by Championship side Ipswich Town in October. He is looking to get back into the game. Could he make his return to the dugout at Spotland?
Steve Evans- He was sacked by Peterborough United last week and is an option for Rochdale. Evans, who has managed the likes of Crawley Town, Mansfield Town, Rotherham United and Leeds United in the past, knows the division very well.
Darrell Clarke- The 41-year-old departed fellow third tier side Bristol Rovers in December and is still available. He is a highly-rated young boss and would be a great appointment by Rochdale.
Kevin Nolan- The former West Ham United and Newcastle United midfielder has been linked with a lot of jobs this season but is still without a club. He has managed Leyton Orient and most recently Notts County.
Jim Bentley- He is the current longest serving manager in the Football League. The 42-year-old has managed League Two side Morecambe since 2011 and has done an impressive job with the Shrimpers.
