Bradford City snap up former Millwall and Blackburn Rovers winger

Bradford City have snapped up winger Chris Taylor on a short-term contract.

The Bantams have signed the experienced wide man on a contract until January, as announced by their official club website.

The 32-year-old has been a free agent since being released by Blackpool at the end of last season but has found a new home now.

He has told Bradford’s website: “I am over the moon to be here, it has been a very long time coming. I play with my heart on my sleeve and give 110 per-cent each and every time I step on the pitch. I cannot wait to pull on the shirt.”

“I have been impressed by the standards in training. The lads are doing really well at the minute. I am looking forward to knuckling down and, hopefully, playing a big part in the club having a successful year.”

Taylor, who has racked up over 350 appearances so far in his career, has previously had spells at Oldham Athletic, Millwall, Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers and Blackpool.

His new boss, Gary Bowyer, has said: “He gives us more options, as he can play anywhere in midfield and just off the front. Chris will bring a wealth of experience and provides great quality from set pieces.”
